Blog Entry 2

I began researching my topic for a course essay. This essay's topic will be precognition. I found five websites, some useful, other's not so useful. Wikipedia (http://www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Precognition) is a site with information on almost any topic. It will be useful to me in writing my essay because it has a lot of information on precognition. It cites all of it's sources, so it should be reliable. Princeton University (http://www.princeton.edu) has a website that offers information on Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research. The information on this site would be reliable because it is from an accredited university, but it will not be useful to me because it doesn't have specific information on precognition. Scifipedia (http://scifipedia.scifi.com/index.php/Precognition) is part of scifi.com, which is connected to the popular television channel. This site has useful information on precognition and looks like a reliable information source. The editor's name and contact information are listed and the site is well organized. New Age Directory (http://newagedirectory.com/dream/futuredream.htm) is a site with information on many paranormal topics. This site has information on precognition, but may not be reliable because I did not see any author/creator information. Ultramind (http://ultramind.ws/develop_utilize_precognitive_abilities.htm) is a site with information on precognition/ESP. This site will not be useful to me because it is trying to sell a product and will have a one-sided argument in favor of the product topic.

Blog Entry 1

This is my first blog! I created it for my English 101 class, which is centered around the paranormal. I am already really enjoying this class and I can't wait to see what we will be doing later on. I anticipate writing and learning about all areas of the paranormal and I know I will learn a lot. Since I am a strong believer in the paranormal, I will really enjoy writing about it. There are so many interesting topics to explore! I will be posting as we move along throughout the course.
